2012 : LA CRISE EST FINIE - END OF THE CRISIS ?

THE CRISIS IS COMING TO AN END

The crisis is over because we have entered a new world.

The crisis has come to an end because some players are using the parameters of this new world.

Those who still talk of a crisis, while starting year 2012, are hoping to recover the ancient world that was running until 2008. Those will continue to wait for a long time…

         


Why it is the end of the crisis ?

Since August 2011, all the events are underlining that the root causes of the economical mess are deeper then  some simple economical dysfunctions (subprime, credit crunch, cash crunch…).

Beginning 2012, we can claim, not far from the truth, that :

  • the developed countries (Europe, America, some Asian countries) don’t have any more decisive competitive advantages in the field of technologies or know-how,
  • being in possession of raw material is an outstanding competitive advantage, whatever technology or know-how that could make use of it,
  • the huge financial assets in the hands of emerging countries give them a powerful negotiation position when facing the developed countries,
  • white-collar productivity has boost and the developed countries are not any more the leaders in this area.

Some key success factors:

The winning companies that we have met during 2011 bring us to identify the following success factors:

  • a catalogue deeply modified with a new range of prices (entry level, mid-range, top of the range),
  • some very competitive prices for the entry-level products,
  • an international sales representation with at least one local sale in America, Europe and Asia,
  • an international organisation for R&D, production and logistics,
  • a strong company image but not running after notoriety.

Quality is part of the success factors:

Among the success factors, quality take a good place because linked to the long term trust one can give to a company.

 Quality is :

  • a competitive advantage,
  • a business plan with medium and long term profit objectives,
  • a management plan for the whole company,
  • creating experiences to strengthen some original skills and a strong image.

For 2012, we confirm the following choices :

  • to strengthen the integration of the quality into the business plan,
  • to enlarge the criteria scope by adding the indirect criteria (sre) to the direct criteria (security/availability/attractiveness),
  • to develop business for export by using quality criteria and quality management,
  • to target on export and business exchanges with China.
